Software workshop · Istanbul
From idea to the App Store.
I spent six years building software for other people’s stores, back offices and websites. Now I build games and apps in my own workshop. Everything on the wall runs: two are on the App Store, two are in your browser, two are on their way, two live in the workshop.
01 · Wall
Each poster is a product. Two are in your pocket, two are in your browser, two are on their way, one is getting ready for the field, one keeps watch in the back room.
An arcade for film lovers. A new film every day: find the pixelated poster in six tries, and every miss shows on the radar how close you got. Six more games, live head-to-heads with friends and a world leaderboard.
A life sim on the real streets of Kadıköy, where everyone lives in the same city. Run deliveries, drive a cab, make rent by Sunday 8 pm. Every shopkeeper, from the simit seller to the butcher, is AI: they remember you, haggle and tease you. The clock and the weather are Istanbul’s own, and a neighbourhood paper comes out every night.
Simitopia’s streets, this time in 3D. On a real map of Kadıköy’s market you start on foot: stack the crates, take jobs from the shopkeepers and deliver before the timer runs out. Save up for a scooter, then upgrade the engine, the paint and the helmet in the garage. From morning sun to evening street lamps, from rain to the ferry at the pier, the market is alive; the cats and seagulls come free.
A screen-printing workshop inspired by Japanese and East Asian print culture. From Mount Fuji and the Great Wave to kabuki and Tsukimi moon viewing, you print 90 posters one layer at a time: separate the ink into bottles, and every finished color is squeegeed onto the poster as its own layer. The last layer completes the poster; slice it apart at the Cutting Table and add it to your collection. 90 posters across the Workshop, Neon City and the Mountain Temple, every one drawn in our own code. There’s a cat on the shelf, and it has opinions about every move.
Take a photo of your plate and AI pulls out the calories, protein, carbs and fat in seconds. You can log a meal by voice too. See your friends’ plates, leave a reaction and race on the weekly leaderboard: calorie counting, but social.

PipeSentinel
From sewer footage to damage report.
Crack · Fracture · Root · Deposit · Joint · 3D pipe · Report
It watches sewer camera footage frame by frame. A YOLO model I trained marks cracks, fractures, root intrusion and deposits; it reads the distance and slope overlay on each frame, builds a 3D model of the pipe as the camera moves forward and writes the damage report at the end. It works; I’m preparing the licensed version that companies install on their own machines.
My personal assistant, named after the replicant in Blade Runner; the workshop’s night watchman. It prepares the morning briefing, remembers where I left every job and does the legwork of research. It isn’t a public product: it’s an experiment that lives in the back room, and I’m still building it.
The sign lights up at night. The sign is on. Roy is on watch.

I’m Ertan. I work full-stack: React and React Native on the front, .NET Core and Python on the back, PyTorch when something needs to see, and lately SwiftUI and Godot. My favourite part is spotting where a job snags in the real world and building the tool that fixes it.
A handheld that prints shelf labels in a store and a film puzzle on your phone started with the same question: who is going to use this, where, and with which hand?
